For items such as marriage records, criminal court records and voter records, contact the Clay County Circuit Clerk.

Prior to Clay County's formation in 1871, you may need to check records in the parent counties of Oktibbeha, Chickasaw, Monroe or Lowndes.

In checking resources, please remember that prior to 1876 Clay County was known as Colfax County.
